Celebrities hardly seem to catch a break from gossip mongers. Actor Yasra Rizvi, who tied the knot with Abdul Hadi in 2017, has been in the limelight regarding her marriage ever since she got married. She finally decided to put an end to the separation rumors.
After the news of Syra Yousuf and Shehroz Sabzwari’s divorce was confirmed, and the latter remarried, rumors of other celebrity couples separating also began popping up on the internet. With the allegations of Urwa Hocane and Farhan Saeed’s separation, as well as Feroze Khan and Alizey’s, the title-tattle got out of hands.
Apparently, the nosy social media users got bored with the rumors being back and forth about these very couples. That being so, they jumped right onto Rizvi and Hadi. Many claimed they had parted their way since the actor stopped sharing pictures with him on Instagram. Obviously, meaning; they parted their ways.
Just the mere fact that Rizvi does not share pictures with him on Instagram, made fans wonder what went wrong. Not just wonder but also jump right to conclusions.
Yasra Rizvi shuts down the rumors
Sharing a picture with her husband on Instagram, the actor penned why she had refrained from posting her personal life on social media. “From 3 years ago but the question is are we still together?” she shared.
“I wonder if people speculated about these things so easily and so often before social media happened,” she added. “Have we always been rooting for ‘unusual’ unions to come crashing down so that we can feel good about playing it safe, not pushing the envelope, breaking away from the norm?”
While subtly taking a jibe at trolls questioning why she does not share pictures with her husband, Rizvi wrote, “My parents don’t have a lot of photos together but they have been married for almost 50 years now. Just putting it out there”.
So, you see, just because they do not follow each other on Instagram or share pictures together does not mean they are not together. May this be a lesson for the prying social media users who have nothing better to do but make allegations of happily married couples breaking up. The couple was blessed with a baby boy earlier this year.
In 2017, the Ustani Jee actor was criticized for marrying a man younger than her. Back then as well, instead of giving in to bullies, Rizvi hit back with a statement to remember.
