PEMRA Issue Notice To Tere Bin Makers

The team had to change the contentious sequences of marriage consummation to make them appear consenting due to the overwhelming fan indignation, but this drew the attention of the nation’s electronic media authority.

The producers and the local station who aired the drama starring Yumna Zaidi and Wahaj Ali have received a formal warning from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).

The PEMRA warned Tere Bin makers to stop displaying inappropriate information that violates the law in a news release while the producers attempted to minimize the contentious problem with last-minute voiceovers.

PEMRA also advised against airing any comparable material in any of their upcoming episodes. In the event that any other rule is broken in upcoming episodes, it issued a strong warning.

Some internet users thanked PEMRA for the warning while others criticized the regulator for being a little slow as the controversial scenes sent users into a frenzy.
