Yes! You heard it right, Amazon Prime one of the most popular OTT platforms in the current slot, took the opportunity of the downfall of its rival streaming platform Netflix and managed to pull off something big.
Amazon Prime has answered everyone’s questions who were asking about the return of the iconic shows and some new ones. No doubt, Amazon-produced some of the great TV shows that no one can ever forget such as Mirzapur, Patal Lok, Made in Heaven, etc.
People were eager to know when such shows will return and increase our excitement. That’s what Amazon did for their precious customers.
Amazon revealed over 40 new and return titles
To surprise everyone, Amazon today hosted its first Prime Video Presents India event in Mumbai, showcasing its line-up for the next two years.
It’s a big treat for all the desi watchers out there, who love to binge-watch some of the great Indian TV shows. The titles include movies in Hindi and Telugu and shows in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Not only that, some of the titles will include co-productions with popular houses such as Yash Raj Films, Dharma Productions, Ajay Devgn Films, and Excel Media.
Country head, Amazon Prime Video India said, “India continues to be one of Prime Video’s fastest-growing and most engaged locale globally. We are humbled by the love we have received from our consumers and continue to be deeply committed to delighting our customers with great content, while also fuelling the creative economy.”
Amazon has got the full plan to ramp up its investment in India after Netflix has recently reported its first drop in users since 2011 and over $54 billion of its share cap being wiped out.
The upcoming shows have got something for every genre lover out there, from thrill to comedy to horror.
