Pakistan Army Ranks 10TH Among The Most Powerful Militaries In World

As per the Global Firepower Index 2021 released this week, Pakistan Army is among the world’s 10 most powerful militaries in the world. Meanwhile, Pakistan has left behind Canada, Germany, and Australia.

Global Firepower Index is an annual ranking that ranks a country according to its military strength. It ranked the armies of 138 countries by taking into consideration a number of factors. Encompassing the diversity of each country’s weapons, manpower, population, geography, and state of development.

Its ranking utilizes over 55 factors to determine a country’s PwrIndex score. Moreover, the formula allows smaller, more technologically advanced countries to compete with larger, less developed ones.

This year, Pakistan stands at the 10th spot out of 138 countries, said ARY. It holds a PwrIndx* rating of 0.2083. A perfect PwrIndex score is 0.0000, which is realistically unattainable. The closer countries are to that number, the more powerful their military is.

According to the ranking, Pakistan has an estimated total of 1,204,000 military personnel. On the other hand, the United States holds first place in the ranking. Meanwhile, Russia is second, and China is third. Apart from Pakistan, the top 10 also consist of India, Japan, South Korea, France, the United Kingdom and Brazil.
