Zia Mohyeddin Passes Away

Pakistan’s greatest orator, producer, actor, broadcaster, and author Zia Mohyeddin passes away and left us in deep mourning.

Earlier today in Karachi, he was admitted to a hospital and as per his family members Mohyeddin was on life support and passed away at 6:30 am.

On June 30, 1931, Mohyeddin was born and he spent his early days in Kasur and Lahore. He’s known for various things in the industry, as an author, broadcaster, and even as an actor as well.

He has lived up to the Urdu literature to its core in his several Urdu sessions and he’s one of those speakers that people spend hours listening to his Urdu delegacy.

For the new generation, Zia Mohyeddin might be just an author but for the 90’s kid, he has been an inspiration in every manner.

Talking about his career, Zia Mohyeddin was a Pakistani actor, producer, and director who worked in film, television, and theater.

He has acted in numerous Pakistani and international productions, including the British television series “The Jewel in the Crown” and the film “Lawrence of Arabia”. He has also directed several plays and films and is known for his contributions to Pakistani theater.

Under the heavy censorship under the regime of General Zia-ul-Haq, he returned to the UK and produced Central Television’s (now ITV Central’s) flagship multicultural program.

Celebrities & Public Figures Mourn On Maestros Death

Many celebrities, politicians, and other public figures couldn’t hold their tears. They have paid tribute to the maestro Mohyeddin Sahab.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan described Mohyeddin as a highly cultured individual and a fixture in the world of entertainment.

Faisal Javed member of PTI wrote, “Distinguished Zia Mohyeddin-Pakistan’s iconic talent, Intl star is no more with us. Had the privilege of working with him.Truly an inspiration in hosting. He was a great host, actor, director, producer & voice-over artist.

May ALLAH bless his soul & give patience to Azra Bhabi. Ameen.”

One of the Pakistani journalists shared a clip of Zia Sahab’s session and prayed for his soul. “Consider myself fortunate to have this live recording of the great #ZiaMohyeddin sb during a reading session from four years ago at the 2019 Karachi Literature Festival. May his soul rest in peace!”

A few days ago, poet icon Amjad Islam Amjad passed away and left the world. Zia Mohyeddin’s death is surely heartbreaking for everyone and will be remembered forever.
