With a heavy heart The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has canceled the opening ceremony of ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 for unexplained reasons. According to the reports. However, fans can remain hopeful as the BCCI hasn’t yet officially confirmed anything related to it.

As usual “The Captain’s Day” event which was to be held after the ceremony will remain according to the schedule. All the captains including Pakistani skipper Babar Azam will be present for the event.

Pakistan will be starting their World Cup campaign on Friday. October 6, against Netherland in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. With such an in-form squad, it is expected to go all the way in this World Cup 2023 and end their drought of ICC titles since their Champion Trophy win back in 2017.
