Sugar is widely consumed and must be bought grocery Item in our wish list when we visit marts for grocery shopping. As a consumer, we have developed a taste; so deep for it, that it’s almost impossible to think of our lives without this substance. Let’s dig up 5 reasons why you should avoid sugar and what are the available alternates?

1. It Makes You Fat

Yes! High consumption of sugar in any form is found to be a major cause of obesity. About 2.8 million Adults alone die of being overweight each year. There was no such rate of obesity in our forefathers. Why? Because they had no easy access to refined carbs such as sugar and its byproducts like we have. “You don’t want to look fat? Avoid sugar. Simple”

2. It Gives You Diabetes

Eating doughnuts, ice creams and a pack of those sweet dark Oreo biscuits while watching Netflix sounds fun, no. Unfortunately, our body might pay a huge price for this treat. Sugar is broken into glucose by the body, which is used for the energy we require and all the excess we consume of it is stored as fat in the body.

Good or bad, genetics can’t hold the reaction of a diet high in sugar for very long. Some people develop heart diseases as early as in their mid-20s, and some notice the condition in their late 60s.
