Earth is a beautiful planet that provides us with food, shelter and most of our requirements. But for some years, our planet is in danger and the major threats are climate change, pollution & deforestation.
The critical question that arises is that who is behind this destruction? Humans, animals or nature itself? Well, I think the answer is “Humans”.
We, human beings, are being extremely cruel to our earth with all of our selfish activities. Humans are not the destroyers; they are the only animals that can save the earth but they continue to destroy it.
They are the most intelligent creatures on earth who are able to learn new things which leads them to technological advancement. No doubt there are many benefits of technological development but it also destroys our environment gradually. We develop technologies & machines to make our life better but it can cause adverse effects on the environment.
We harm animals & plants along with ourselves.
Plants and trees give us oxygen but we cut them to build buildings and roads. For a second, let’s imagine if trees gave off Wi-fi signals, we would be planting so many trees and we would save the plants. But no! Too bad that they only produce oxygen whereas, we are chasing technological development. So, we, being ungrateful to nature, cut them off. We have the urge to create robots but destroy ourselves.
We just can’t live without air, water, land, sunlight, animals, and other natural things. However, we end up killing animals for our needs and hunt animals just for our pleasure. This causes loss of biodiversity. Each species has a role in our planet and when one dies out, it can have drastic effects on the rest of us. We destroy forests and wildlife to build huge buildings, roads and factories.
Moreover, you may have noticed that the climate is getting hotter with each passing year.
Although climate change is a natural phenomenon but we cannot blame nature because the interference of humans is playing a great role in intense climate changes. Harmful gases released by ACs, refrigerators and vehicles are depleting the ozone layer that causes harmful rays of sun leading us towards various skin diseases; even cancer.
Every day, we produce tons of waste and throw it everywhere. We are disposing of dirty sewage and even chemicals in the water bodies although we know that humans, along with all plants and animals in this world, rely on water for their lives.
Now, the concern should be that what we can do to save the Earth. As we are the one destroying it. Earth cannot be saved by the effort of one. Every person should take a step to save it. We should reduce water wastage, save energy and throw wastes properly. We should stop polluting and challenging our national resources to ensure viable living conditions for our future generations. Our technological developments should be eco-friendly.
Our planet is a beautiful place. So, let’s take care of it. We can still save our planet.
