Looks like Tahmoor Akram the eldest son of Wasim Akram didn’t want to walk on the path of cricket where his father did and switched his lane towards MMA.
Recently, Tahmoor has decided to become a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter. And the best part Wasim does support his son in what he’s trying to achieve in his life.
Wasim Akram undoubtedly has earned endless popularity all over the globe and terrorized his opponents with swings. However, Tahmoor is ready to terrorize his opponents with fists and kicks.
Wasim Akram’s Son Tahmoor Becomes An MMA Fighter
As per Wasim’s revelation, Tahmoor had already been in an MMA fight and he’s an amateur fighter.
Wasim revealed that “Tahmoor is currently an amateur MMA fighter in the USA and recently had his first fight in the amateur circle. Wasim further revealed that he has no objection to Tahmoor pursuing his MMA career and that if he wants to become a fighter, he must follow his heart.”
Akram further stated that he has given his children the freedom to do what they want as they are capable enough of making their own life choices.
“I have given my children the right to live the life they want. If he wants to be a fighter, then he must.”
He’s In America, Where Cricket Isn’t A Popular Sport
On the question about making Tahmoor a cricketer, Wasim said, “My son has been living in America, there is not much cricket there, anyway, I have given my children the right to live the life they want. If he wants to be a fighter, then he must,” he further added.
After the death of Wasim’s first wife, Wasim married Shaniera. She accepted his kids with a warm heart and even both of them shared their multicultural journey.
