According to reports, WhatsApp users will be able to share their status updates directly to Instagram Stories. There is a possibility that the Meta-owned app will integrate status updates across its two apps shortly.
This feature is still under development and was spotted in the latest beta version. The WhatsApp features tracker WABetaInfo reported that users would be able to choose whether to share their WhatsApp updates on Instagram or not. Additionally, users will be able to control which status updates are shared.
The latest WhatsApp beta update for Android 2.23.25.20, which is available on the Google Play Store, reveals WhatsApp is working on new ways to share status updates by adding an Instagram option. Having added the option to share updates to Facebook, WhatsApp is working on adding this capability to Instagram. Users will have complete control over the content they wish to share by managing their Instagram Stories audience, according to WABetaInfo.

Testers can link their Instagram account with WhatsApp in the most recent beta version of the app (v2.23.25.20) that is presently available on the Play Store by going to Settings >> Privacy >> Status >> Give my status updates to others.
