Following the same humanity trail, Careem, the well-reputed ride-hailing service is also garnering praises all around for playing its part well during this pandemic. Not going in vain, recently, Careem’s exceptional services and helpful activities were amazingly recognized by the United States (US) Consulate in Karachi.

Earlier, Careem, after analyzing the need had made collaboration with several welfare organziations to distribute ration. Targeting the main cities of Pakistan, the ride-hailing service along with Karachi Relief Trust and Rizq held ration drives. The core reason behind the idea was to provide ration bags to the most affected communities at their doorstep.
Careem’s in-app ‘donate’ feature
Taking to Twitter, the US Consulate appreciated the support Careem has been providing as delivery partners in such crucial times. Not only this but previously, the ride-hailing application even introduced the magical ‘donate’ option. Through the in-app button, customers are now able to donate COVID-19 testing kits and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the hospitals.
Well, the immense work wasn’t just recognized by the US Consulate but Mike Pompeo, the US Secretary of State also joined in. Retweeting the post of the consulate, Pompeo praised the worthy partnerships which are busy aiding the underprivileged.

From feeding the poor to helping the frontliners in combating the deadly disease, Careem has always been ahead of others. Doing a remarkable job in such a crisis, the ride-hailing service has even partnered with the Government of Punjab (GoP). Particularly, the initiative was to create awareness and stop citizens from stepping outside and opt for delivery options.
Moreover, Careem also promoted the provincial government’s telemedicine helpline to provide medical-related assistance. There’s no deniability that Careem has proved itself as an exceptional addition to the public transport. Since its operations in Pakistan, the ride-hailing service has made a great impact by giving back to the local community when needed.
