UN To Finally Vote On Push To End Israeli Occupation Of Palestinian Land

The United Nations (UN) is likely to vote on a resolution, ending Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestinian land. Furthermore, the resolution demands Israel end the occupation in six months.

Meanwhile, the resolution has been drafted by the Palestinian Authority. Simultaneously, seen by Reuters. Moreover, the resolution upholds the opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Earlier on, the ICJ made an observation on Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory. Eventually, the whole occupation was cited as illegal.

Moving ahead, critics examine the crucial time the resolution is being brought forward. Days before the UN General Assembly. Meanwhile, the resolution is to be voted on September 18th. The meeting will oversee 193 members of all the member countries of the UN.

In retrospect, Israel’s representative to the UN, Danny Danon, cites the hypocrisy. Additionally, he called for condemnation of Hamas and immediate release of hostages. Furthermore, he called for a resolution.
