UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals-Four Teams One Goal

Last week two main second-leg matches played and four teams managed to secure their sweet spot for the UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals.


Liverpool vs Real Madrid considered the dullest match ever, both teams scored none and finished with goalless.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich the defending champions knocked out of the league brutally by the French club side who took their last year’s final revenge Paris Saint-German.

Bayern only managed to score one away goal, which let the Paris Saint-German take full leverage of their first leg three away goals and secured the semi-final position.

Another fixture was between Chelsea hosting for the Porto FC, where the outcome was the same as the PSG vs Bayern. FC Porto only scored one goal and Chelsea won the match based on their first leg two away goals advantage.

The night surely Thursday night 15th of April was all about Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund because both teams were fighting to hold their position and tag their badge for semi-finals.

The match began with the German’s dominancy in the early start within 15 minutes, Borussia Dortmund broke the deadlock and secured the early lead. Manchester City tried to break the opposition’s defense because Dortmund had the advantage of one away goal and for that City had to score more than one to win the match.

The first half ended with the surprising Dortmund lead, but as the second half started City’s attack gotten more aggressive which gave them their first penalty of the night at the 50th minute of gameplay.

Just like in the first leg, Emre Can did another mistake with the handball in his territory, which let Manchester City have a chance to get their lead.

Mahrez Riyad came forward to fulfill the duty and didn’t miss the opportunity and beaten Dortmund’s goalkeeper in his style by hitting the sweet blueish spot.

Fans thought, this would go for extra time, but the rising star of Manchester City Phil Foden came out of nowhere and changed the whole picture for his team. At 75th minute,

Foden took the shoot with great power, and accurately that skipped the goalkeeper even.

Phil Foden gave Pep Guardiola finally a reason to be the manager of Manchester City, after five years of struggle, Pep Guardiola managed to secure the position in the semi-finals.

Now on the 28th of April Real Madrid would be hosting the English side Chelsea for the first leg. Chelsea reached the semi-finals after 8 years since 2012 Chelsea couldn’t set the bar to come that far in the Champions League. On the 29th of April Paris Saint-German facing Manchester City. Two nights, big matches, and that are where the whole excitement will come out.
