Tsunami Alert Issued as Taiwan Earthquake Claims 7 Lives and Injures 736

A severe 7.4-magnitude earthquake, followed by numerous aftershocks, struck near Taiwan’s eastern coast, causing widespread devastation. As per Taiwan’s fire department, the quake resulted in seven fatalities and over 736 injuries. This seismic event, the most potent in a quarter-century, caused substantial structural damage and induced landslides, with its effects extending to regions of China.
