Breaking barriers, Sobia Khan from Peshawar becomes the first transgender candidate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to submit nomination papers for the upcoming general elections. Running independently for a provincial assembly seat (constituency PK-81), Sobia aspires to advocate for transgender rights, women, and children, challenging societal norms through her unique campaign approach, including extensive door-to-door outreach in the constituency.
With a Bachelor’s degree and the distinction of being the first transgender broadcaster in the province, Sobia Sobia Khan aims to redefine perceptions and contribute to societal welfare.
