After the extremely tragic incident of yesterday’s Defence Z-block blast, a wave of terror ran across the country. Such was the situation that people had locked themselves up in different buildings and inside their houses all over Lahore, especially the locality of Defence. Same was the case inside LUMS’ campus, one of Pakistan’s most renowned universities.
They don’t say ‘Lahore Lahore Hai‘ without a reason. The huge, warm, and welcome hearts of Lahoris were ready to take actions after students of LUMS felt threatened staying inside the campus, as numerous rumors of terrorist attacks were going on in Lahore. This is how students of LUMS reacted when their peers and friends felt unsafe staying inside the campus hostel.

This incident just shows how strong the community setup inside Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is, along with huge and welcoming hearts and arms of people of Lahore. It is also pertinent to add that whenever we, as Pakistanis, are in danger, out of nowhere, we find so many people who give us the comfort and support. This is what makes us Pakistanis, the determinant spirit of helping each other.
Indeed, the diligence and emotional outreach shown by students of LUMS is something every Pakistani needs to be proud of. Also, let us pray for our beautiful country that it doesn’t go through the same fate it has previously gone through.
