Karachi, the largest division and city of Pakistan, is also the economical hub of the country. With a population of almost 10 million people, things are bound to get messy in one way or the other. A group of armed robbers/dacoits have started a heinous routine in different areas of the city.
The issue came to light after a Karachiite posted pictures of the culprits along with a message of how these people have been masking themselves as plumbers and electricians. Once they enter your home, these armed robbers loot everything on gun point, whatever hard earned assets are present in the house.
Since the people voluntarily open their doors, it is impossible for neighbors or anyone else to find out. The trick these looters have been using is that when they ring your bell, they say that they are visiting from a water company and are here to install new shower caps, which help save water.
The other lie they serve you while standing at your door is that they are here from an electrical company (K-Electric) and they have been sent by the organization to install energy-saving electrical bulbs, absolutely free, as part of a government backed initiative. These hard hitting lies are making people open their doors to these dacoits and suffer the worst.
These robbers have been spotted in many different areas of Karachi. Usually, they have been targeting apartments in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Jauhar, along with high-rise apartments in Clifton.
If you do not have cameras installed, make sure your doors are locked at all times and you do not open the door without absolute confirmation of who stands behind it. Who knows what these people might do once they enter your home; what harm they might cause you or family, financially or physically. Indeed, it is better to be safe than sorry.
If you know or have seen these people anywhere, consider it mandatory to inform your nearest police station!
It is our moral duty to bring awareness to our fellow Karachiites. Share this post with as many people as you can – you might help save lives and hard earned money of the common man. Stay safe, Karachi!
