Every Pakistani is interested in the West. Be it the food or the culture, we try our best to copy their trends.
This also extends to fashion. People in Pakistan see the latest designs by some French designer with a long and convoluted name and go crazy over it.
I don’t understand why people would do that when we have such talented artists in Pakistan itself. Our designers don’t think out of the box- the box never existed for them. Their designs are so original and so unique that one can’t help but wonder what goes on inside the mind of such an individual.
Here are some examples of Pakistani fashion and how it leaves its western counterpart in the dust.
This is the gorgeous Pakistani model, Sadaf Kanwal, wearing a dress by Shamael Ansari. You can tell at first glance that everything falls into place. Every element speaks for itself and appeals to the human eye in an absolutely unique way. It is ravishing.
This is none other than the famous Nadia Hussain, showing off a surreal design that was created by famous artist, Nilofer Shahid.
That wasn’t the only design by Nilofer Shahid. The above dress was also designed by her, displaying the sheer amount of creativity in her mind.
The host of the Chocolate Carpet at the Magnum Chocolate Party this year, Zara Peerzada, drew everyone’s gazes with those stunning eyes and that gorgeous top designed by Ali Xeeshan.
The designers themselves aren’t any less fabulous than the models working for them.
Shamaeel Ansari, proving that a minimalistic approach is every bit as ravishing as an extravagant one.
Nilofer Shahid, showing that half the beauty of the dress is in the way that you carry it.
Ali Xeehsan, showing that being creative isn’t everything.
I mean, what the heck is up with that chicken on his head?
