So, I was sitting in the Library of my University today and a group of friends was sitting in a cabin right next to me. I overheard them talking about something related to Quetta and Balochistan when suddenly one girl mentioned my name in her conversation. This was what she said,

“Yar Hunza bara facebook pay lagi hamesha Quetta bleeds, Quetta bleeds karti rehti hai. Har dusry din status aya hota hai. Wo to sakhat khilaf hai Pakistan kay, she is a complete anti-Pakistani. Baloch jo hai na wo”

I was not shocked at all on whatever she said because this was not the first time someone labeled me like that whenever I tried to raise an issue about my homeland, felt the misery of my people and tried to share it. But I pity on such low-leveled thinking of everyone out there including that girl who think of me and every other person as a traitor, who have the audacity to make people realize about the REAL facts, who have the audacity to tell people to their faces what they are doing to us and a big heart to feel and care about their homeland.

I pity her thinking of making fun and ignoring the fact that Quetta is actually bleeding but found the topic of mentioning me as an Anti-Pakistani more important to discuss. I pity all of you who find the label of Anti-Pakistani as an excuse for not answering my questions and ignoring the pain of my province. I pity those who don’t even want to care, understand or do something about the most neglected area of the country but are judgmental enough to crack jokes about the people like me who are at last trying to spread awareness with their words. I pity that girl who labeled me as an Anti-Pakistani just because I am a Baloch.

FYI, I am as much of a Pakistani as you all are out there and I am more than loyal to it. If we have complaints and we are asking for the basic rights, it doesn’t make us any less of a Pakistani. Asking for justice doesn’t make us any less of a Pakistani. Hoping for peace in our homeland and hoping for our families to be safe and secure living over there doesn’t make us a rebel or a traitor. Asking the higher authorities to be held accountable for what they are doing to us doesn’t make us any less of a PAKISTANI.

For the love of God people, stop labeling us as a traitor because we seek for JUSTICE, not SEPARATION. Balochistan is nothing without Pakistan.
