On Friday, the Pakistan Army saved the foreign climbers who were stuck at Concordia and Shigar points near K2 base camp in Gilgit Baltistan.

At Concordia and Shigar points on August 17, 2023, a group of climbers, including a local guide, one Polish climber, and four British climbers, were stuck.

4 British climbers were saved from snow-covered Mount Concordia, and a Polish hiker and a local guide were saved from Mount Shigar, which is about 17,000 feet high.

George Hurst, David Cope, Stephen Ryan, and Darren Corby were all British climbers. Adam, who was from Poland, was with a local guide named Muhammad Iqbal.

When the Pakistan Army heard that the climbers were stuck, they acted quickly and sent planes from the Pakistan Army Aviation Corps to try to save them.

All of the climbers were found in severe condition; they were having difficulty with breathing.

The relief team from the Pakistan Army got there in time to help them with medical care. They thanked the Pakistan Army for saving them and recognized their work.
