7 Type of Students You All Can Relate To During Exam Season!

It is quite interesting to see how everyone becomes super nerdy when exams are only a couple of weeks away. For some, they are the inventors of phrases like “keep calm” and “take a chill pill” as they only start preparations in the final days. That’s what most students call living on the edge. Although most colleges, universities, and schools are done with their exams there are a few of them that are still left. Institutions, such as NUST, are about to commence their exam season, and these types of students are ready to come out once again:

1) Rattaybaaz!

These students are dangerous. They are mostly toppers, but a few the unlucky ones fail to make it to that peak for some reason. They all keep on memorizing lecture slides like holy books, and you just cannot outrun their memory power!

2) Nervous Theetas!

These people are on par to the previously mentioned. They want to study for everything and just like rattaybaaz log, they start a few weeks early. However, on the last night, their syllabus still isn’t complete because they take a lot of tension over who’s studying what, and that’s breaking their confidence. They know everything, they have great marks in the pre-finals but, they are too worried about not missing out on anything!

3) Extremely Nervous Theetas!

This is an extreme species. Found mostly in hostel as that is their perfect habitat, these people study till late night just like everybody else. However, they take all their notes and laptop to go study in the most secluded places of their hostel, like gym, TV lounge, and even outside. These people lock themselves there and try to memorize everything by reading books and notes out loud. The things we do for GPAs.

4) Chill AF!

Random roamers, they are found to be roaming around in cafes, hostel, and even homes. These people are so much confident that they just know they will study everything whenever they would start, which is mostly after midnight. They would spend the whole day playing games, smoking, and even go as far as watching a movie, then if they feel like it, they would start studying!

5) The Commoners!

These are your average students, nothing to see here. Nothing special or extreme about them. They start a few weeks early, study at a good rate till midnight, and then go to sleep. They know the fact that whatever they study, won’t remember after the last exam, and so they memorize stuff accordingly. They take breaks while studying, have a good laugh, and continue to study. Their routine is not special at all, hence they are the common students.

6) Tension Givers!

Okay, so these are the brilliant minds of your class. They compete in the highest division. No matter how much you hate them, they are the ones who take a lot better grades than you. However, that’s okay for you people as there are always anomalies in everything. So, you ignore them and focus on people with GPAs near yours. But just when you find out that it’s only 10 p.m. and one of them have already gone to sleep while you are still stuck on a certain topic, that crushes your soul. That crushes your confidence and you start panicking, cursing yourself for the lack of attention during lectures.

7) Party People!

You want to make memories and kill tension? Go to these people. They are found in groups, sometimes on hostel terraces, or sitting in someone’s room. They have a great laugh, think about how much time they have spent, and how will the coming days be. They believe in exams being temporary while memories and friendships lasting forever, and that is what they work on. They may or may not be good in studies, but they definitely lighten up your mood the minute you chat with them.

It is amazing how many different “species” of students can be found as we all grow up. There’s a mixture of them in hostels and dorms. Being the lucky one to have met each one of these types, they are sure to be found in all other institutes as well. So enjoy the final days of your term and semester, and make sure you enjoy these days as much as you study. For even too much of studying can be bad!
