Korean drama Crash Landing On You stars Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin one-upped their onscreen characters — Yoon Se Ri and Lee Jeong Hyeok — and officially tied the knot!
Celebrations abounded for the Crash Landing On You couple’s transition from reel to real, likely manifested by mad keen fans of the show who had been wishing for a happily-ever-after IRL as well.
The actors’ agencies VAST Entertainment and MSTeam took to social media to announce the news in a joint statement on Instagram on March 31.
“Today, actor Hyun Bin and actor Son Ye-jin got married, taking their first steps as a married couple. We apologize for the fact that this ceremony will be held privately in consideration of the Covid-19 situation. We bring you the news through the wedding photos of the two,” VAST Entertainment captioned the photos which show the couple in white at their private ceremony.

The agencies thanked fans for their love and support. “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the many congratulations and warm support for the two of them on their new start. In the future, actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, along with their agencies, will always do their best to repay the love,” they said.
Fans are over the moon
Soon after, fans of the on-screen and off-screen couple flooded the comment section with hearts and congratulations. They wished the lovebirds a happy married life. One fan even quoted the hit 2019 Netflix series and said, “It wasn’t a coincidence, it was fate.”
In 2019, the actors were confirmed as the lead couple for Crash Landing On You, which would go on to become one of the highest-rated dramas in the history of Korean TV. The couple’s undeniable chemistry sparked a fresh wave of rumors, despite denials from both sides.
After several secret sightings over two years — including a dinner with Son’s parents — Korea Dispatch broke the news that the couple had been dating for eight months, as confirmed by their respective agencies.
The couple had announced their forthcoming nuptials in February. According to Gulf News, Hyun, 39, and Son, 40, first went public with their relationship in 2021, leaving fans, who loved their on-screen pairing in the drama, ecstatic. The two worked together before Crash Landing on You as well, starring in the 2018 Korean crime film The Negotiation.
Fans who had been manifesting the Crash Landing On You couple’s happy ending were finally gratified when the couple confirmed on Instagram that they were getting married.
