Singer Zoheb Hassan’s father Basir Hassan recently died in Karachi. To be able to attend his final rituals, he had to fly to Karachi from London. The final rights of Basir Hassan were to be held in his son’s presence in Karachi.

Hassan was definitely lucky to ditch the unfortunate flight. Such is life! Hassan took to Facebook to recall how he had to travel in the ill-fated PK 8303 from Lahore to Karachi but he didn’t due to a last-moment change in his plan.

“MY INCREDIBLE JOURNEY TO FULFILL THE WISHES OF MY DYING FATHER IN THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN. (PLEASE READ THIS),” Hassan captioned his post on Facebook.

“My dear father who passed away last Friday promised me to take care of my ailing mother if he dies. He died a few hours later. The only flight available was 300 miles from London in Manchester. With great difficulty I managed to get on to a ‘repatriation’ flight which was mainly carrying coronavirus affectees and dead bodies.”

“Upon reaching Lahore I was quarantined with 300 other passengers in a hotel. Nine of the crew and several other passengers contacted COVID-19 on the flight,” he added.

Meanwhile, Hassad had to leave after 72 hours on flight PIA 830 from Lahore to Karachi. He did everything to leave early. God helped him and he was negative and was allowed to leave early.

“Thank you…God you are the greatest and I bow down to you,” said the singer.

Decades ago, the duo of siblings Nazia and Zoheb Hassan ruled the Pakistani music industry. Back in time, Nazia was a pop sensation, a heartthrob of many Pakistanis, and a music icon whose legacy continues.
