Sindh Health Dept Confirms Eight New Cases Of Coronavirus In Karachi!

The life-threatening Coronavirus continues targetting people, as recently, eight new cases have been reported in Karachi, Pakistan. So far, a total of 13 cases have been diagnosed in Sindh, making it a total of 16 in Pakistan.

The Health Department of Pakistan updated the number of infected patients this Monday.

Eight new cases of Coronavirus emerge from Karachi!

According to the Sindh Health Department, the recently diagnosed patients happened to bring the virus from Syria and London. Precisely, out of eight, five of them flew back from Syria via Doha, and three of them came from London via Dubai.

Following their return to Pakistan, the health authorities responsible for detection tested them positive for Covid-19. Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah, shed light on the matter asserting that the patients were screened at the Karachi airport, on their return to Pakistan.

However, previously, the screening of those flights returning from Dubai en route China, from where the virus outspread began, did not take place.

Importantly, on 8th March, a fourth patient with the novel Coronavirus in the city of Karachi was successfully treated. Special Assistant on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza tweeted:  “A patient from Karachi, tested COVIDー19 positive today. Undoubtedly, the quarantine of all contacts has taken place. This is the 7th case in Pakistan, 1 has already recovered & discharged & another one is ready to be discharged. Particularly, If we all act responsibly we can avoid Coronavirus outbreak in Pakistan.

Influence of health authorities on the situation!

Amidst all the turmoil and fear caused by the Coronavirus, Dr. Zafar Mirza assures the citizens of Pakistan that the health authorities are trying their best to curb the problem. Comparing to the times when the National Insitute of Health (NIH) issued a warning of the potential outspread. However, with the first patient fully treated, we can say that the health authorities are doing a marvelous job in handling the patients.

On the other hand, the world also sees remarkable strives done to find a cure for infected patients. Speaking of Thailand, it seems that the country proved successful in finding a cure for the deadly virus. About the medication, it is a drug cocktail, encompassing of HIV and flu medications.

The Thai doctors tested the medication on a 70-year-old Chinese woman. Within a time period of 48-hours, the patient’s health started to improve substantially.
