Since the COVID-19 outbreak reached Pakistan. The number of lives lost has been numerous. Hence, to make sure that the citizens are prevented from the fatal virus a strict lockdown was imposed all over the country. Pakistan made sure to ensure that the people follow all SOP’s and stay indoors so that they don’t become a victim of COVID-19 as well.
The situation now
After four continuous months of battling the fatal illness, it seems that the smart lockdown strategy might have worked and the numbers of ill patients are lower than the ones that were before. It seems truly fruitful to see that people are also starting to understand the dangers of the lurking virus and are trying to take the desired preventive measures accordingly.

Sindh govt decides to extend 1 more month of lockdown
However, a four-month-long fight, we seem to see some better results of COVID-19, and the number of affected patients seem to have started to decline as well. Yet the risk of being succumbed under the grip of COVID-19 is probable. Hence, in order to prevent oneself from this cruel and fatal virus.
Perhaps, this is just to ensure that the virus is eliminated completely from the country and no risk from the virus prevails. But whatever, the reason might be, the Sindh government. is making sure that the lockdown stays imposed for one more month at least. A notification is issued by the Sindh Home Department which states that all parks, restaurants, and public places will stay close till the 15th of August 2020.

In addition, all shrines will be kept closed as well. Along with this, the inter-provincial transportation is going to be limited and it will be made sure that businesses stay closed for one month. Simultaneously, all businesses in the business sector are requested to make sure that they are not operational for two days a week – Saturday and Sunday respectively.

However, home deliveries can operate till 11 pm every day; otherwise, all stores, expo halls, educational institutes, sports complexes, public and business plazas will remain close till 15th August 2020.
In addition, the notification also highlights that vegetable and fruit vendors can operate in the daytime. According to the notification that is issued by the Sindh Home Department; the allocated business hours will be from 6 am to 7 pm, but dairy retail outlets and medical stores exempt from this notice.
Let us hope that Pakistan wins the battle against COVID-19 once and for all.
