Sindh Government Declares Public Holiday for December 27

The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on December 27 to honor the memory of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, who was martyred 17 years ago. A notification was issued stating that all government and semi-government offices in the province will remain closed on this day.

However, banks will stay open as usual despite the public holiday.

To mark the occasion, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will hold a large public rally at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, the resting place of Benazir Bhutto. PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro shared that this rally will take place at her shrine, and key leaders, including PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former President Asif Ali Zardari, will address the gathering. Leaders from all four provinces are expected to participate.
