Shoaib Malik Might Have Said Something Racist to Daren Sammy and People Aren’t Happy

Pakistan Super League is peaking around the corner and Pakistanis are ready to welcome its 3rd edition. Aside from the love Pakistanis have for cricket, what’s making PSL more exciting is how the captains of every PSL franchise are fully indulged in making the league a super success.

Peshawar Zalmi will be defending their title and we are just thrilled to see the show they’ll put on!

Look at All the Captains!

Everybody’s Super Excited to See this Year’s PSL

There’s a lot of fun going on among the captains of the teams. They are joking around and the banter is getting pretty real.

So Anway, During the Conference with All the Captains, Shoaib Malik May Have Passed a Racist Comment to Daren Sammy

Daren Sammy was talking about seeing Afridi in a blue shirt seems unusual to him, given how Afridi last year was in Peshawar Zalmi. Someone from the panel called Sammy as “Daren Sammy Khan”.

So to address Sammy’s remarks on Afridi playing for a different team, Shoaib Malik stated how he has never seen a Pathan like Sammy.

This hints to Sammy’s skin color, given how Pathans are fairly the opposite in terms of complexion.

Here’s What Really Happened:

Various Pakistanis Believe Malik Got Racist and Commented In a Wrongful Manner

He Indeed Seemed Surprised

Yep, Makes Sense!

Well, because Pakistanis think it is okay to joke about someone’s color or ethnicity, the “joke” may not sound like a problem with many reading or watching what Shoaib Malik said. However, it downright doesn’t seem appropriate to say such things, and everybody knows the context Malik was speaking in.

That aside, let’s hope PSL will be super fun as we cannot contain our excitement anymore!
