Singer Shehzad Roy in a Twitter post revealed that he had been tested positive for COVID-19. He said a few days ago he and his family contracted the coronavirus. Taking to Twitter, the Tera Mukhra crooner shared, “[A] few days ago my family and myself contracted the coronavirus.”
“With Allah’s blessings, we are fine,” he said. He also added a link to a YouTube video where he showed how a ‘coronavirus family’ entered his body and how he managed to not spread it to others.
It is an awareness message for all his fans. Using entertaining visuals he explained how one should practice precaution and resist the virus in social settings.

Roy has also emphasized on celebrating Eid with simplicity. He has urged people to wear a mask when go out.
Earlier, many Pakistani celebrities including Nida Yasir, Yasir Nawaz, Rabina Ashraf, Alizey Shah, Abrar ul-Haq, Vasay Chaudhry among others contracted coronavirus. Many Pakistani politicians including Sheikh Rasheed, Shehbaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also tested positive for COVID-19 while performing their national duties. However, most of them have now recovered and back to their work.
The government has recently announced that the coronavirus cases in Pakistani have declined and most of the patients have recovered from the virus. Still, there is a fear of resurgence after Eid-ul-Adha.
