PTI Punjab Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Shaheen Raza passed away at Mayo Hospital Lahore on Wednesday after contracting coronavirus. According to Mayo Hospital CEO Dr. Asad Aslam, Raza had tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to the hospital three days ago.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sohail Ashraf also confirmed the news and said that the PTI MPA was admitted to the hospital in Lahore after her health deteriorated. However, she died today while battling the virus.
The deceased was also a patient of blood pressure and diabetes. Governer Punjab Usman Buzdar has also condoled the death of PTI MPA.

Previously, many politicians including Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani had tested positive for coronavirus. However, they recovered soon after being isolated for some time.
Pakistan confirmed 46 more deaths from novel coronavirus in one day. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 985 and positive cases surged to 45,898. According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 1,932 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.
