SC Suspends Verdict over the Allotment of Reserved Seats in Parliaments

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued a verdict suspending the Peshawar HC order; allotment of National Assembly reserved seats.

The Khan-backed party issued their reservation for not being allotted seats as per the quota; originally filing a review to ECP, only to be declined later.

Originally, the Khan-backed Party SIC filed a case in Peshawar HC; it was dismissed later.

Finally, the case was taken to SCP; the hearing was convened under Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, and Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Athar Minallah.

Justice Mansoor remarked that the public mandate should be protected; therefore, SC has ordered members in reserved seats not to participate in any legislation. The court has also announced to commence proceeding daily; the case hearing will begin in the 3rd of June.
