The University of Sargodha will be the first varsity to start a Ph.D. program on Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW). Prime Minister Imran Khan in his recent interview to a private channel, confirmed the initiation of the aforementioned program.
With its main campus, located in the heart of Sargodha city, is green and serene, the University prioritizes the promotion of critical learning and scholarship among its students and young faculty. It offers modern teaching and research facilities to its students.
Taking this initiative, the University of Sargodha is the first national institute to launch such an educational program. In this very regard, the university had already submitted two PC-1 to establish the Sargodha Institute of Muslim Civilisation and strengthening of Ph.D. Programs in Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities.
Both PC-1 had been sent to the Planning Commission of Pakistan in order to implement the plans of the Institute for Muslim Civilisation and the strengthening of Ph.D. Programs.
In addition to this, the project aims at highlighting the diverse aspects of Islamic civilization and culture. Furthermore, promoting research through balanced dialogue on Islam across the globe. Apart from this, the institute would also promote cooperation with international organizations working on Islamic civilization.
The University of Sargodha would enable students to understand Islamic culture, science and ideology. It is pertinent to be mentioned here that Seerat Chair had also been established at the University of Sargodha.
What is Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW)?
Islam is a complete code of conduct for every person living in this world. It was presented to us by a large number of messengers from Allah Almighty. Each one of them sent to teach the Muslim Sharia and preach Islam to humans.
Basically, Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) is the life of the Prophet. It belongs to the genre of Sirah Rasul Allah (biographies of the Islamic prophet Muhammad). It is about the qualities and habits of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Naturally, the words fall short when it comes to praising him. He is an epitome of honesty, piety, innocence, judgment, mercy, love, and every positive quality that we can think of. A true symbol of peace. His life is full of anecdotes and happenings.
To sum it up, Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) portrays the perfect picture of an Islamic society. And by introducing a Ph.D. program on this, Sargodha University has taken a commendable step.
Meanwhile, PM Imran Khan’s ‘Kamyab Jawan Program’ aims to assist individuals in the education sector, skillful training, and business sector. Certainly, among other developments, the eligible candidates will be benefitting a lot from the youth assistance program.
