In light of the rumored wedding festivities of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who are reportedly set to tie the knot this week, actor Sanjay Dutt has some advice for Bhatt, who starred with him in Sadak 2, and Kapoor, who played him in the biopic Sanju.
Speaking to Times of India, Dutt was asked about Bhatt and Kapoor’s rumored wedding during the promotion of his film K.G.F: Chapter 2. According to the publication, Dutt was unaware of the festivities but expressed happiness at their union.
“If he (Ranbir) is getting married, I am really happy for him. Alia was literally born and brought up in front of me. Marriage is a commitment they are making to each other. And they have to stick by that, hold each other’s hands and move ahead in happiness, peace, and glory. Make kids soon Ranbir, and stay happy,” he advised.
The Munna Bhai star also told the publication that marriage is a “matter of compromise” from both ends and that challenges will come and go but someone out of the two “will have to bend”.
He advised that Kapoor and Bhatt assess situations ahead but also remain on the same page as a couple. “With every curve in the road, they have to remember that the commitment they made to each other is very important and that is the key to keep moving ahead,” the Kalank actor added.
Wedding festivities to begin soon
According to several Indian publications, the couple’s wedding festivities will commence tomorrow with a Mehendi. As we move closer to the big day, which is touted to be April 14, details about Bhatt and Kapoor’s upcoming nuptials are revealed.
The recent buzz is that the couple will wear celebrated Indian designer Sabyasachi for their events and from the looks of it, it very well might be true. According to a report in ETimes, they have opted for pastel shades for the occasion. Not just Sabyasachi, the report claimed that Alia is also planning to wear outfits by Manish Malhotra during her wedding festivities.
While their wedding may be the talk of the town, the couple and their families have been tightlipped about the reported festivities this week. It is yet to be confirmed if Bhatt and Kapoor are actually getting married.
Although they like to keep the details of their relationship private, the couple has indicated repeatedly that they intend to wed “sooner rather than later.”
