Sanam Saeed, the lead actor, has shown satisfaction with the feedback received for the controversial series Barzakh. Furthermore, the lead actor called out the Indian fans for their support.
In an interview with Indian Media Sanam called the response overwhelming. Furthermore, she affirmed that the response was not beyond expectation – referring to the controversial aspect of the film.
Sanam stated “There are certain aspects in Barzakh that grabbed people’s attention. Some viewers didn’t understand the show initially, but if they watch it carefully, they’ll get it. The audience’s reaction was exactly what we anticipated.” Additionally, she described the overall response to be ‘overwhelming’.

Additionally, Sanam called out her Indian fans – citing them as ‘long-lost siblings’. Furthermore, Sanam emphasized shared cultural heritage with Indians. “We’ve grown up in different homes but share the same roots. Essentially, we come from the same land but have evolved differently over the years. It’s heartwarming to reconnect with long-lost siblings,” Sanam remarked.

Meanwhile, director Asim Abbasi, renowned for his distinctive content has defended his choices, stating “With all due respect, if you find queer/non-heteronormative storylines ‘distasteful,’ please do not watch my content. I will always champion the rights of all and tell stories that we believe in.”
Furthermore, the series Churails and Cake are a testament to Asim’s directorial success. However, despite the overall response the producer, Zee Zindagi has decided to take the series off from YouTube.
