The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is meeting today in Islamabad to sight the Shawwal-ul-Mukarram moon for Eidul Fitr 2024. Chaired by Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, the committee will convene at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Unity.

Representatives from various institutions, including the Ministry of Science and Technology, Pakistan Meteorological Department, and SUPARCO, will attend, along with zonal members from key cities. The meteorological department predicts the Shawwal moon’s sighting on April 9, with Eidul Fitr likely to begin on April 10.
