‘I Used To Dress Up As A Batman’ – Robert Pattinson Shares His Childhood Batman Memories

Every kid in this world saw a dream of dressing up as their favorite superhero. Most of them surely did in their childhood and enjoyed that precious moment.

But some people used to dress up like batman when they were kids and are now featured in a Batman movie as batman which is ironic in every way.

Robert Pattinson is one of them who openly claimed that he used to dress up as a batman his “entire childhood.” And now the British actor is about to debut in his version of one of the most popular superheroes in the comic world.

People are right now eagerly waiting for the darkest Batman movie ever made, which is about to release in a few days in theatres.

Robert Pattinson remembered his childhood as a batman

Robert Pattinson arrived at the red carpet for a London screening of The Batman he said, “This is bizarre to me, I’d be so curious what my childhood self would think of this.”

Robert started his film career with Twilight movies, but he changed his line of films and followed some other actors’ footsteps. Such as Adam West, Val Kilmer, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, and Ben Affleck.

Pattinson further said, “I mean the legacy of the actors who played (Batman), they’ve all been such massive parts of my life and my interest in film and why I wanted to be an actor in the first place,” Pattinson said.

“It’s just incredible to be a part of the same coterie,” he said, noting that acting with a mask on was “surprisingly difficult. “I grew up on Adam West (playing Batman). I think my costume when I was a kid was an Adam West one.”

Robert Pattinson in his previous interview felt like an idiot as he didn’t know Batman was the world’s greatest detective.

This batman version, it’s different from other versions because in a movie Batman investigates corruption in Gotham.

‘Heavy dose of terror’ – Matt Reeves

“There are great Batman movies and it’s a character that everyone loves … so for me, you don’t approach it without a heavy dose of terror,” director Matt Reeves said. “In certain ways, it’s a psychological horror movie, it’s a thriller, it’s a serial killer movie and it’s also a kind of a grand love story.”

Zoë Kravitz who plays the Catwoman role couldn’t hold appreciating Robert Pattinson’s acting skills. “Matt … really wanted to explore Selina as a three-dimensional human being and to meet her so early in the story before she’s Catwoman is something we haven’t necessarily seen before,” Kravitz said.

On the 1st of March, The Batman will be released all over the globe. And it has been delayed as well due to the heavy Covid-19 outbreak.
