rishi kapoor coronavirus

Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor has shown some support for Pakistanis who are battling with deadly coronavirus. The Indian actor said that Pakistanis are equally dear to them since we [Pakistan and India] were ONE at some point.

He also advised Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to tell Pakistanis to take all precautions against COVID-19.

With all due respect, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan should also advice his country to take adequate precautions. People of Pakistan are also dear to us. Once we were one. We are concerned too. This is a global crisis. No ego matter this. We love you guys,” he wrote.

The number of confirmed cases in Pakistan rose to 519 on Saturday. Sindh reported more cases among zaireen quarantined in Sukkur after their return from Taftan, Balochistan.

Yesterday, Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor tested positive for COVID-19. She is presently kept quarantined, along with her family. She returned to Lucknow from London on 15th March.

Kapoor also reacted to news about Kanika suffering from coronavirus. “Aaj kal kuch Kapoor logon pe time bhaari hai. Darta hoon. Hey Malik raksha karna doosre Kapoor-on ki. [These days few Kapoors are facing difficult times. God, please help the rest of the Kapoors],” he wrote.

In another tweet, He even questioned how Indian authorities didn’t have effective facilities to test the virus in this crucial situation. “Think. Chalo Delhi airport se to nikal gayi. Why an establishment like The Taj Lucknow Hotel didn’t have the facility to screen visitors? After all the Taj is a huge name and a property. Surely they could have detected,” he wrote.

Rishi Kapoor’s stance on Pakistan

However, on the other hand, Kapoor has time and again also showed his hatred for Pakistan in the past. He took a dig at Pakistan cricket team after they became the first finalist of ICC Champions trophy in 2017. His tweets were derogatory and little below the belt. Fans slammed the actor for using such language and spreading hatred between the two nations. He even accused Pakistan of spreading terrorism.

Kapoor also faced criticisms for his insensitive comments on Pakistan. He once said ‘Pakistan just want hatred’ after Kulbhushan Jadhav’s death sentence.

Kapoor has often used abusive language in his tweets, even for his own people. He was often been slammed for his abusive language.

However, it came as a pleasant surprise for us when he for a change showed his concern for Pakistanis. We really appreciate his love and concerns and hope together we combat this global pandemic.
