Rise in Temperature in Karachi and Upper Regions of Pakistan

Karachi has experienced a week of light weather and is to receive another wave of heat.  The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) adds Karachi will again see a temperature rise.

Karachi’s average temperature for summer recorded is 35.7*C. Karachi’s temperature recorded till Wednesday was 34.7*C- near average. The PMD added that Karachi will likely see a rise in temperature from today onwards.

The meteorological department pointed to a rise in temperature to 36*C. Karachites will, however, not face heat waves like before: restoration of sea wind since the last week; a fall in humidity.

The Met Department further added that Karachi’s rise in temperature will also be affected by the active rainfall in the upper regions of Pakistan.

Upper areas of Pakistan- Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa districts- will receive heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The heavy rainfall will break the heat spell in Karachi.
