During the unveiling of the motion poster for the Indian superhero film Brahmastra in New Delhi on Wednesday, the lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt stole the show with their PDA, popping the big question of their wedding.
In the midst of the promotions at the event, the Rockstar actor teased his girlfriend about her connection with the letter ‘R’, a question she was posed earlier at the trailer launch of SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
“Why do people keep asking you about R?” he quipped. Bhatt could not help but blush at his question. With the crowd cheering and Ranbir’s consistent poking, the Highway starlet responded in a sly manner.
“Truth ye hai ki R meri life ka sabse bada [The truth is that R is the biggest],” taking a dramatic pause, she further added “Number 8 hai,” she continued, making a reference to the number on his football jersey and his favorite number, in general.
Bhatt threw the same question at her beau in response, asking about the significance of the letter ‘A’ in his life. Kapoor further teased her, and said, “A means Amitabh Bachchan” referring to his co-star in the film.
As Bhatt rolled her eyes at him, he turned serious, as if about to give the answer she wants, he said, “A means Ayan Mukherjee”, the director of their film.
Are wedding bells ringing for the two?
Their romance definitely warmed fans’ hearts. The never-ending discussion about their wedding also made its way at the launch during a Q&A session with fans. “When will you marry Alia or someone else?” Kapoor read out a query addressed to him, as the audience cheered.
Bhatt’s mouth was agape after hearing the second part of the question. “Well, haven’t we seen a lot of people getting married in the last year?” replied Kapoor. “I think we should be happy with that. Humari kab hogi [When is ours happening]?”
As Bhatt replied, “Why are you asking me?” Kapoor pointed at their director and said, “I am asking him, when?”
Before we could get any answers, the filmmaker dodged the question saying, “One date reveal is enough for today”, referring to Brahmastra’s release next year.

Kapoor and Bhatt have been rumored to be in a relationship since 2017. They have bonded with each other’s families and they all often even go on vacations together. Two years back, Deepika Padukone accidentally confirmed the rumors of Kapoor and Bhatt tying the knot.
