Well, it looks like another Bollywood couple might be taking their relationship to the next level. Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt may tie the knot as soon as two weeks from now, and this has fans buzzing.
Kapoor and Bhatt met on the sets of Brahmastra in 2017. The couple kept their relationship away from the public eye for a while but made it official in 2018 when they attended actor Sonam Kapoor’s wedding reception together.
Both have been dating for almost 5 years now and bonded with each other’s families. In fact, they all often even go on vacations together. Be it on The Kapil Sharma Show, or in the comments sections of their social media posts, everyone wants to know when they are getting married.
According to reports in India Today, a source close to the lovebirds spoke about Kapoor’s tight shooting schedule — the Rockstar actor only has a gap of seven or eight days from April 13 to April 20 between film shootings of Luv Ranjan and Animal to host the nuptials. Bhatt, too, has left those dates in her schedule empty to accommodate the wedding.
Sources claimed the couple would tie the knot in April and, according to Pinkvilla’s recent report, the wedding is set to take place in the second week of April, taking into consideration their work commitments and a consultation with the family pandit.
Destination wedding or not?
According to Pinkvilla, the lovebirds have ditched the idea of a destination wedding and chosen to get married at the Kapoor house as predicted in February this year when the Kapoor residential tower was almost finished with the first five floors reserved for the Kapoors.
The family was expecting speedy re-construction of their home so that Bhatt and Kapoor’s Graha Pravesh — a Hindu ceremony performed on the occasion of an individual’s first time entering their new house — could happen in the new home, according to Pinkvilla.
During the unveiling of the motion poster for the Indian superhero film Brahmastra in New Delhi last year, the lovebirds stole the show with their PDA, popping the big question of their wedding.
The never-ending discussion about their wedding also made its way at the launch during a Q&A session with fans. “When will you marry Alia or someone else?” Kapoor read out a query addressed to him, as the audience cheered.
Bhatt’s mouth was agape after hearing the second part of the question. As a matter of fact, Bhatt already feels like she has been married to her beau Kapoor “for many years” now.
