Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader Imran Khan arrested by the Rangers outside Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday.

CJ Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has taken note of the occurrence and has summoned the IG of Islamabad, the secretary of the interior, and an assistant attorney general.

The PTI head was detained, and Justice Farooq ordered to promptly tell the court of who was responsible and the nature of the detention. The judge insisted that punishment would be meted out, “even if it has to be taken against ministers”.

Imran has reportedly been transported to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) office in Rawalpindi, according to the IG Islamabad.

The former premier was taken into custody while on the grounds of the IHC, where he had been called to testify in charges involving mutiny incitement and assault against PML-N leader Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha.

The lawyer for the PTI chairman was “badly injured” during the arrest within the IHC, according to the previous ruling party.

Fawad Chaudhry, a senior official in the PTI, asserted that the IHC was held by Rangers before to the arrest, lawyers were being tortured, and Imran’s car was encircled.
