PSL 8 Trophy Unveiled – Officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board unveiled the PSL 8 trophy on Thursday at Lahore, the nation’s cultural centre, and its famed Shalimar Gardens.

Photos from the ceremony show the chairman of the PCB, franchise owners Najam Sethi, and some players, including Shoaib Malik and Shan Masood.

The new PSL 8 trophy, according to a press release from the board, was created in consideration of the national team’s credo, artistic talent, recognition, and status.

The 24-karat Supernova Trophy, which was created in Pakistan, was described as a marvel of expert craftsmanship and PCB’s dedication to supporting small companies. The national cricket team’s slogan, Unity, Passion, and Strength, is depicted on the trophy’s three pillars.

According to PCB, crystals have been placed to the main pillar in the rear to symbolise the team’s passion and work in ensuring victory.

The eighth season of Pakistan’s much awaited Pakistan Super League (PSL) is due to start the following week. Schedule of PSL 8 has been announced.

Top musicians Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, Faris Shafi, and Abdullah Siddique will release the much awaited anthem for PSL 8 in the upcoming days.

Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans will face off in the inaugural match at Multan Cricket Stadium on February 13, with the defending champions Lahore Qalandars being the favourites.

In Multan, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, several matches would be played over the period of more than a month. The championship game of the tournament is set to take place on March 19 in Lahore.
