Currently, the whole of Pakistan is in excitement as the Pakistan Super League (PSL)’s season 5 kick-started yesterday. From lighting up the cities to landing into the final countdown, Pakistanis loved every bit except this year’s host. Well, the opening ceremony of PSL 5 took place in National Stadium, Karachi, on Thursday with host Ahmed Godil who wasn’t much appreciated.
PSL 5’s host Ahmed Godil becomes the latest target of online criticism!
Undoubtedly, PSL has helped Pakistan a lot in reviving the long lost cricket culture with international players arriving in the country. In recent developments, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced to take PSL 2021 to new venues.

Comparing it to previous seasons, the nation disapproved of PSL 5’s opening ceremony calling it extremely boring. As of now, social media is flooded with troll posts regarding the host VJ Godil and it seems like the anger is quite real. Taking a look at the online mocking session, Ahmed Godil also responded to the trolls with a ‘thumbs up’ post on his social handles.

It was surely disappointing for the energetic and excited crowd of Pakistan to experience blunders in the most awaited event. However, this year, 6 young additions to the PSL are believed to take the event by storm with their performances.
