About 33,000 people were killed without any discrimination of religion by ISIS and other militant groups loyal to it between 2002 and 2015. Its major victims are Muslims who oppose and deny their false explanations of Islam and dominant authority. But why ISIS and other militant groups use the name of Islam for their inhumane activities? The flaws are in the interpretations by certain clerics, which has created the motivation for extremism. What are the real teachings of Islam? Does Islam support these militant groups’ ideologies?
Obviously not! We have been warned by our last Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad PBUH about from these extremist groups and asked us to be alert. He said,
“Verily there would arise from my Ummah after me or soon after me a group (of people) who would recite the Qur’an, but it would not go beyond their throats, and they would pass clean through their religion just as the arrow passes through the prey, and they would never come back to it. They would be the worst among the creation and the creatures.” – Sahih Muslim 1067, Book 12, Hadith 206

Another Hadith about the foolish people is,
“There would arise at the end of the age a people who would be young in age and immature in thought, but they would talk (in such a manner) as if their words are the best among the creatures. They would recite the Qur’an, but it would not go beyond their throats, and they would pass through the religion as an arrow goes through the prey. So when you meet them, kill them, for in their killing you would get a reward with Allah on the Day of Judgments.” – Sahih Muslim 1066, Book 12, Hadith 199

Even Hazrat Ali a.s predicted about this group
“These people will have long hair and bear black flags. Their hearts will be hard as iron, and they would be the companions of a State” (Ashab ul Dawla). – Kitab Ul Finan
So, whenever someone tells you that ISIS are the real followers of Islam and tries to justify their mass killing, please show them the prophetic and insightful prediction of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. We should root them out only through the proper convention of divinatory wisdom from which our Prophet PBUH has been blessed
