Procrastination is regarded as a lax attitude that delays completing tasks on time. It is something that every single person facing and doing nothing about it. Then whoever that person is, whether a student or a professional.

No doubt, there might be many factors that led a person towards procrastination. Such as lack of priority, absence of mind, zero motivation, etc. Collectively, these events tarnish the image of people engulfed in dithering. They lose prestige, respect, and integrity.

Somehow technologies also played their part in creating a procrastination world and widened its roots.

Digital lifestyle made things much more easier. From housemaid to shopkeeper everybody is aware of the usage of technologies.

In such scenarios, people do seek smart gadgets which is not the right thing to do at all.

Our life is now covered with majorly different types of gadgets, that should be used in an appropriate way. But that’s not happening in reality. People feel a little low instead of motivating themselves, sneak into social media and spend hours there.

Many of the students do use laptops to study, but while opening one tab related to their assignment topic, meanwhile they have also opened another tab of distraction which is known as a social site which leads them to procrastination.

Procrastination doesn’t only strict to student’s life only but also the professional life as well. For professionals which include: businessmen, employees, etc.

Time is precious, that no one understands it all and taking it for granted. It won’t stay for anyone, once it’s gone the only thing will be left and that would be regret.

Overcoming procrastination is not big deal, just like other bad habits, there are some valid steps to cure such diseases.

The first step is to recognize procrastination, it can be a reason that you are delaying your work, if you are doing it for a genuine reason then it’s good which means you are not intentionally procrastinating.

But if you are doing it purposely then you should do such things:

Tasks You Need To Do:

  • Fill your day with low-priority tasks.
  • Leave an item on your To-Do list for a long time, even though it’s important.
  • Read emails several times over without deciding on what to do with them.
  • Start a high-priority task and then go off to make a coffee.
  • Fill your time with unimportant tasks that other people ask you to do, instead of getting on with the important tasks already on your list.
  • Wait to be in the “right mood,” or wait for the “right time” to tackle a task.

Second, you need to work out why you are doing this? Does this mean what is the reason behind procrastinating your tasks? You specifically need the reasons to understand it.

It might be possible that you are avoiding some task because you won’t find it entertaining. Then you need to work on that process, to find a way out quickly, so you can focus on the major aspect of your work that you like more doing it.

You need to organize yourself actively, create your schedules, make to-do lists,  even a perfectionist also a procrastinator, often avoid doing such tasks that don’t entertain them, they don’t feel they have the skills to do than do it imperfectly. 

One of the major key element of procrastination is poor decision making, its better not to do if you can’t make the proper decision instead of making it wrong one.

Especially our young generation is getting into the world of Procrastination. Just like professionals got some dose to overcome that inhabitant habit, so do students as well. 

Students can work better if they give proper equal time to their studies, stop delaying their assignments, major thing is time. Once you understand it, more likely you will earn good grades and will stay healthy.

As I stated above students mostly face procrastination because of the distraction. Many of the students spend more time focusing on social media instead of working on their assignments.

Your proper schedule would help you in completing your goals for the day. It’s one of the most tested methods and people have implemented it on themselves as well.
