For those individuals that are keen on purchasing a value for money Android handset, the RealMe 6 is the brand’s best bet yet. Realme6 is not the best Android phone you can buy on a budget but it is a good one. From a technological perspective, the RealMe 6 doesn’t fully escape its budget phone roots. However, it is still a more respectable effort when compared with previous other RealMe devices in a noticeable manner. The RealMe 6 distinguishes itself a lot from its competitors. It’s certainly not quite a must-buy but there’s a lot to like here.
Let’s find out more about this amazing gadget.
Realme 6 smartphone was introduced on 5th March 2020. The smartphone has a display screen of 6.50-inch giving the best results with 1080×2400. Realme 6 has a 2.05GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G90T processor with 4GB RAM. The phone has 64GB of inbuilt storage and a slot for expanding the memory up to 256GB. It has a dual-SIM option accepting Nano-SIM cards. The phone measures 162.10 x 74.80 x 9.60mm and has a weight of almost 191 grams. It is available in two colors: Comet White and Comet Blue.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G. There are several sensors on the phone including accelerometer, light sensor, compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
Since 2019, Realme has improved its user interface to a huge extent. The phone runs Android 10 with a customized Realme skin over Color OS 7. Some of the users disliked the shape and size of the icon the most on Color OS. However, this time around, you can actually change icon size and style. There is an option to change the font of the interface as well as the new somatosensory features like “auto ear pickup calls” and “auto-switch to ear receiver” that are also quite handy. It’s good to see App Lock, Kids Mode, and Private Safe on the phone.
The battery backup of the Realme 6 is impressive. At a moderate usage, the 4,300mAh battery easily lasts a-day-and-half. The charging of this phone is even more impressive. It comes with a 30W fast charger in the box and it charges the phone from 10 percent to 100 percent in around an hour. Within half an hour, the phone gets 60 percent charged from zero.
The phone has a 64-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture; one 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.3 aperture; one 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a fourth 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. Rear camera has an autofocus option with a 16-megapixel camera perfect for selfies, with an f/2.0 aperture.
As a whole, the RealMe 6 does feel like a massive improvement on where the hardware and software of 2019 had fallen short. We call it the best value for money phone that you can buy. Even though RealMe hasn’t quite escaped the shadow of Oppo but the brand’s latest wallet-friendly flagship shows serious signs of improvement.
