SubhanAllah! A Pigeon Displays The Act Of Sujood In Mataaf Area Around Kaaba

“Have you not seen that to Allah prostrate all those in the skies and all those on the earth, and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the animals and many from mankind?” (Surah Al-Hajj – 22:18) Without a doubt, every living being is in a state of submission to Allah SWT and worships Him in a manner appropriate to its situation. Recently, a pigeon was observed imitating the act of Sujood (prostration) towards the Holy Kaaba in the Mataf area.

“The seven heavens, the earth, and all those in them glorify Him. There is not a single thing that does not glorify His praises — but you ‘simply’ cannot comprehend their glorification. He is indeed Most Forbearing, All-Forgiving.” (Surah Al-Isra – 17:44)

Indeed, there is no creature that does not praise Allah SWT. According to Islam, animals are conscious of God. In addition to this, the Quran also says that they praise Him, even if this praise is not expressed in human language.

On Tuesday, a video surfaced on social media in which a pigeon can be seen prostrating(Sujood) in Mataf. It is the open white area immediately around the Kaaba where tawaf takes place.

SubhanAllah!

Needless to say, Sujood or prostration is the best position in the salah (namaz). It is the greatest form of the show of vulnerability. The posture proves that an individual has completely submitted themselves to Allah Almighty, and they accept Him as The Supreme.

When you prostrate, it is the best place to make dua (prayer) and that is when you can be closest to Allah SWT. He lays stress on our need to keep a constant conversation with Him through duas and even says that He will remember those who remember Him. However, have you ever wondered what would be the best time in a day when your prayer or Dua would be most effective?

Hence, to pass away in Sujood is a blessing from Allah Almighty. Last year, a missing Saudi man was found dead in a desert area. The man breathed his last while he was in the praying position of Sujood. The poignant act of religious devotion, which marked his final moments was truly praiseworthy.
