The COVID-19 pandemic has become a huge cause of concern for people all around the world and Pakistan is no exception to this. The entire country has been shutdown severely affecting millions of Pakistanis who are left with no means to feed themselves or their families. The most vulnerable segment of the society is the daily wagers who relied on their day to day earnings to provide for their families.
In these trying times, Pepsi and Lays have stepped forward and responsibly acted to counter this grave concern by launching their #MillionsOfMeals program. This much needed and deeply thoughtful initiative has been put in place to help feed the people who could potentially starve because of the lockdown. The brands posted an announcement earlier this week:
Today, we announce our commitment to provide millions of meals to support struggling families of Pakistan that are finding it difficult to make ends meet in these tough times.

The on-ground food distribution across Pakistan will be done with the help of charitable organizations including Rizq, Orange Tree Foundation, Al-Khidmat and PPHI. These organizations have been active in Pakistan at the grassroots level for quite some time.
The program is in itself a great call to action and exemplary initiative that should inspire the nation towards hope and kindness. It is actually extremely heartening to see big brands like Pepsi and Lays step-up and do their part for the welfare of society. We really hope that more people and companies step forward with similar initiatives to support the people who need care the most, in these pressing times.
