What can you expect from Indian cinema? With the sudden turn of events, Kartik Aaryan and producer Sajid Nadiawala have decided to recreate the Pasoori song from Coke Studio for the upcoming film Satyaprem ki Katha.
It’s hard to believe that the current Bollywood era still believes in recreating Pakistani songs and jeopardizing their originality.
Ever since this news became viral, no one is in favor of it even the Indian audience have raised their voice against it.
Pasoori is one of the most popular songs from the Coke Studio season 14, it has reached another milestone by beating BTS as the most searched Google song in the world.
Pasoori Recreate For Satyaprem Ki Katha
This recreation will be done for Kartik’s upcoming film Satyaprem Ki Katha directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film stars Aaryan alongside the talented Kiara Advani and is slated for a June 28 release.
The main question rises a big “WHY”? As per the reports, Aaryan and Sajid aim to capture the real essence of the original popular song while infusing their creative interpretation. According to Bollywood Hungama’s sources, the team has meticulously planned the shoot, which is set to take place over two days in Mumbai.
Zulfi, the producer of the Coke Studio Season 14 confirmed the news and shared that “they are dedicated to bringing forth their final “masterpiece” during the release week and hope to recreate the same enchantment and buzz that the song generated in the digital world.”
For those who don’t know, this masterpiece took a whole year as Ali Sethi shared the wholesome experience of making Pasoori.
Pakistanis React to Pasoori Recreation
Soon the news spread all over social media, and Pakistani citizens slammed the makers for recreating Pasoori.

One tweeted, “What else can they (Bollywood) do??? Now they’ll justify using a Punjabi song in a Gujarat-based movie.” Satyaprem Ki Katha is set in Gujarat. A Pakistani Twitter user also said, “Bollywood just stay away from our precious Coke Studio (Pakistani music-based television program and franchise).”
A person also said, “You (Satyaprem Ki Katha makers) are about to get so much hate for this, so don’t do it! Already it’s a bad era for Bollywood movies and music. Negative publicity is not fun anymore.”
A Twitter user also said, “No way! Save Pasoori from them. That’s our song. Hope this is a big fat lie. Hate Kartik and Sajid. Hope this movie flops.”
One more said, “Another classic sacrificed (crying emoji).” A person also said, “Oh my God please don’t. Pasoori is my absolute favorite don’t ruin it please.”
Satyaprem Ki Katha holds the music as their major highlight, they have already released three tracks back-to-back and the fans loved it. All of them received unexpected love from the fans and it’s reaching a great number.
Arijit Singh also covered Pasoori during his concert, but people loved it and no one expected this cross-border relationship.
