Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) has been under the microscope ever since they came into power. While some might still have high hopes when it comes to Prime Minister Imran Khan, many criticize the people he is currently surrounded with.
Lately, Shah Mahmood Hussain Qureshi who is the current Minister of Foreign Affairs has been giving some confusing statements on the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now one Pakistani ex-pat has come affront to share her two cents over the minister’s remarks.
In a video shared by Tayyaba Zain from New York, she is criticizing the way the foreign minister is talking about the stranded Pakistanis in the world and rather than acting upon it, is asking others for answers.
“Foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, either you are stupid or maybe you think Pakistanis are stupid.”
“I recently heard one of your press conferences where you were asking others about the unfair treatment of overseas Pakistanis. Their dead bodies lay stranded on foreign soil. Who are unable to fly back to their home country as they are asked to pay 3 times higher airfares. Who is doing all of this?”
‘Koi sharam hoti hai, koi haya hoti hai’
You are the ones in power! You are the ones responsible! Then who are you asking this question to ?”
She further added, ” If anyone of one raises these questions it is understandable, but a government official asking these questions on television is embarrassing”
“If the embassies are not doing it and the government is not behind it then who is causing all these difficulties for the stranded Pakistanis?” she added.
‘Foreign minister stop acting!’
“These stranded Pakistani ex-pats are those who left their families and loved ones behind to earn a livelihood for their families. These people have been separated from their families for years. Instead of helping them out during this COVID-19 pandemic, you are asking for answers.”
“The only one inflicting this torture on them during these uncertain times is you, Shah Mehmood Qureshi!”, said Tayyaba forcefully.
“Imran Khan was unable to come to power because you people made it impossible. He sought your alliances to do some good for the nation. Instead of helping him, you have being globbing down funds sent by the very Ex-pats you have so easily discarded.”
Every other country in the world has provided relief and assistance for their countrymen. Even India took their people via air at half price. Only Pakistan remains the only unfortunate country whose politicians rather than helping are playing the blame game towards each other.”
Lastly, she addressed the minister directly and said, “We will come through this but remember you will fight this seat in the next election soon and we would be here to settles all scores.”
