Social media star Bilal Bin Saqib has recently been recognized by Forbes alongside some of the brightest Asian millennials for his charitable project in rural Sindh and Balochistan. His project helped thousands of people gain access to clean water. Apart from being a bright student and an entrepreneur, he also got some amazing sense of humor.
Bilal who hails from Lahore recently return back to Pakistan after graduating from the London School of Economics (LSE). However, on his return to Pakistan, he has been quarantine in Islamabad for coronavirus testing and precautions.
Bilal enjoys ‘Katrina’ with his friend
While many overseas Pakistanis were seen complaining about the government’s ill-behavior towards them, Bilal took a hilarious route to share his experience in quarantine.
“I landed in Islamabad two days ago. All passengers on the PIA flight were taken to quarantine. I have compiled with videos of my Instagram to show what is happening and how the corona test looks like,” he wrote.
He took a stay in Ramadan Hotel, Islamabad where the management offered him ‘Lunch buffet’ during his stay. We were impressed with the way he explained ‘coronavirus chicken’ to his fans. He was also accompanied by his friend who was equally interesting to watch.

The two friends enjoyed their time together in ‘Katrina’ (Quarantine lovingly called Katrina by them). He also shared some interesting tips to lose weight during the quarantine.
While the test came negative and they were about leaving the hotel, the hotel staff asked them to stay for some more time. They kept entertaining the entire hotel staff during their 3-days stay.

However, as Bilal was aware of the situation of government quarantine facilities so he made it clear that all of his videos were made in light humor. He didn’t intend to mock or offend anybody during this sensitive time.
Well, we love his videos and how patiently and positively he dealt with the situation. And also, we are proud of him as he represents Pakistan across the globe.
Who is Bilal Bin Saqib?
There are many overseas Pakistanis who are making the nation proud with their own talents. Bilal is among one of them.
Forbes introduced him as, “Bilal Bin Saqib is founder of Tayaba, a social enterprise that aims to provide solutions to the water crisis in Pakistan. One of its initiatives is the H2O wheel. It’s a plastic wheel container connected to a metal bar that helps to reduce the burden on women and children who carry water in rural Pakistan for miles each day. The wheel can carry up to 40 liters of water. It is eight to 10 times more than what a mud pot [traditionally used to carry water] can hold”.
Bilal claims Tayaba has already distributed over 5,500 of these H2O Wheels in Sindh, helping over 30,000 women, children, and families from rural and poor backgrounds. The COVID-19 lockdown halted his plans to travel back to Pakistan, however, he is now back to serve his country.
